Is it possible to achieve longer than an 8 second exposure on a Samsung SL250 camera?

I've been trying to take long exposure photos, but can't afford to purchase a new camera so I am stuck using a point and shoot Samsung SL250. I have been trying to get an exposure that is longer than 8 seconds but so far have not found a way to do so.. If anyone knows of a way to get the camera to do a longer than 8 second exposure, that would be very helpful! However, they are stingy with the exposure times because these little sensors get very noisy at such low light levels. If the limit is 8 seconds then that's all you get. If there is a Bulb setting then you can take as long as the button is pressed.
