How do I turn off the built in text message service on my Samsung Intercept?

I have Sprint and I have the Samsung Intercept, it runs on the Droid network. I just recently downloaded an app for text messaging and I can't figure out how to turn off the built in messaging app that came with the phone. So I get two text notifications everytime I get a text. Anyone know how to turn it off?How do I turn off the built in text message service on my Samsung Intercept?You cannot turn off the built in text messaging, but you can disable the notification via Settings.
