I just got a 50 inch Samsung projection tv (model 5063w) which has thin vertical lines running up and down the screen. However the lines are often not top to bottom, i.e. there are parts of the screen that look fine.
I ran two tests which put different color patterns on the screen and those looked perfectly fine. There were no lines. Here is a photo of the problem: http://tinypic.com/r/2wp8bb6/7
