Why does the Samsung Jack get sluggish and lose battery life?

After having two Samsung Jack devices the same problem occurs. The phones are fine for around two months and then they slow down and the battery life becomes very short. What is going on with this phone?|||cuz it sucks|||They make better tv sets.
