Should I get the Samsung Memoir, or just a phone and a camera?

Should I get the Samsung Memoir (which is like a touch-screen phone and a digital camera in one) OR getting a texting phone (probably the Samsung Gravity) and a Nikon s230? Which makes more sense?|||Hi there,

I'd go for the Samsung Memoir, as you'll find the camera on the phone is really good...nothing against the s230...but if you're looking at Point and Shoot cameras, i'd steer clear...

Anyways, i found this by doing a google search...hope it's helpful:

The good:

--------------

The Samsung Memoir has a handsome and slim design with a styling that makes it look like a camera. The TouchWiz interface makes navigation a breeze and we love that you can upload your photos directly to online sharing sites. The photo quality is top-notch, and the overall feature set is very impressive. It has great performance as well.

The bad:

-------------

The Samsung Memoir lacks Wi-Fi, its Web browser is not the greatest, and the touch-screen interface takes some acclimation. You are limited to preloaded TouchWiz widgets.

The bottom line:

------------------------

If you don't mind the price, the Samsung Memoir lives up to its promise as a top-notch camera phone.

Good luck,

Peter G|||Hello Jen,

I think you should get the iphone... its the best phone out there on the market... You can download free apps, such as, ebay, Youtube, facebook, Google maps/earth, and many more... plus the iphone is pretty cheap, starting at $150|||you should get the new samsung because it all the thigs you in one if. You get a phone and camer you going to be playing two thing not all in one.|||get tha phone it'll prolly be cheaper than getting the two things and plus its easier to carry around a fone with a digital camera than two things. THE FOOONE lol|||Samsung Memoir|||Samsung memoir|||i would get the samsung memoir but it all depends on what you like to do taking a picture or texting|||do not use a cellphon --see cellpphone dangers|||It all depends on if you like the all-touch screen idea. The Memoir has the same interface as the Behold. Honestly, go into a T-Mobile store and see if you like it first before you buy.

How many picture messages are you planning on sending. I know the Memoir is going it take really nice crisp 8mp photos but when you text them to people, it's going to compress and resize them so they can fit on the network so it's probably not going to make a difference that it was taken with the 8mp camera anyway. Besides, the Gravity has a camera on it too (but it's only 2mp)

If you're thinking about internet, the Gravity 2 (soon to debut) is going to be 3G just like the Memoir. Honestly, go hold and play with both of them and go with the one you think feels best in your hand.
