How do I hook up windows 7 samsung laptop to my Samsung HDTV using an HDMI cable?

I have a windows 7 samsung laptop that I hooked up to my Samsung HDTV. It worked for 2 days, but then the HDTV couldn't find the laptop's connection anymore. I have already tried changing the screen resolution and sometimes it finds the tv and sometimes it doesn't. I have also tried cycling through the fn+4 settings, but the tv still can't find the laptop. Please help|||I have never had this problem with either of my HP laptops. Call Samsung technical support. Or take the laptop back to where you bought it.
